Today was AMAZING! We started with some silly warm-up games, which helped us learn each others' names and become comfortable with being ourselves and being goofy! Then, we discussed what theatre means to each of us. We got some really insightful answers, including: being myself, having fun, and getting to be (of course) a little dramatic! The older group then got a sneak peek of their play, and were able to pick their parts in "The Big Bald Wolf and the Three Little Wigs." The younger group played some Improv Games, including "I am a Tree" and "Machine." We have a very creative and confident group of students! At the end of the day, we reviewed what we learned and played a few more games. In the first group, we were so busy and focused, we forgot to take pictures, but we remembered in the second group! Next week should have scripts, a new branch of theatre, and more improv games!
In a few short days, we will be taking the program on its maiden voyage, as it were! Our team is done with training and can't wait to start. Stay tuned for more information, we will keep you updated week by week!
