Today we were on the stage for the very first time, although we were missing Joe and Emily (they were working on Murder in the Air, which opens tomorrow at 7 in Kahler Auditorium, hope to see you there)! After shortly discussing stage etiquette and reviewing the basics of theatre, we dive right in pretty quickly today. After a rousing game of "Puking Dinosaur," the older group started blocking today. Blocking is the term used when directors give the actors their positions on the stage. The younger group learned a new game called "Red Ball" and really enjoyed the many rounds of "Show Me." We have some very creative students in the group, believe me! Next week, we will finish blocking, learn a new game, and explore a new side of theatre. Remember to keep memorizing!
